Welcome! Thank you for your interest in learning more about this art project. It is my hope that you choose to lean in, share and join the conversation.
Buffalo, New York is a city of many contrasts. It is a city steeped in historical milestones; a place known for both its good neighbors and its sobering tragedies. In all of its beauty, Buffalo, my hometown, is still a segregated city. My newest artistic endeavor seeks to lean into the possibilities of connection and healing through historical reflection and curated art.
Community Is Now an interdisciplinary, interactive art project that integrates digital art, poetry, and history around the central theme of unity.
The Community Is Now project highlights stories of belonging, social justice and community resilience while exploring the prospect of a more unified Buffalo through contemporary and historical lived experiences. Touching on North Buffalo, South Buffalo, the Eastside and the Westside, this project will serve to tell a holistic story of Buffalo and help engage diverse audiences in self-reflection and dialogue.
